Fracking sets off boom in gas supplies – Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

No one dreamed of exporting natural gas from the United States in 2003…

Porter Bennett, president and CEO of Bentek Energy, a Colorado-based energy consulting firm, said he doesn’t know what the “new normal” price for natural gas should or will be, but said exports of U.S. gas surely will push domestic prices higher. By 2015, when the newly approved Sabine Pass port in Louisiana is scheduled to come on line, the gas picture “looks relatively tight,” he said.
